Before your trip to Alaska Kingfishers, guests will need to make arrangements with one of the recommended local B&Bs or hotels for the first night of your arrival. This is not included in your package price. It is very helpful to notify the B&B or hotel of your planned arrival schedule or to contact them just before your arrival to ensure that they will be expecting and waiting for you at the airport. Some of them offer discounts or corporate rates for guests coming to Alaska Kingfishers, the Bristol Inn being one of them, so be sure and let them know you are coming to see us.

Your trip to Alaska Kingfishers will start in Dillingham, Alaska, which is 350 miles southwest of Anchorage. Transportation from Dillingham, AK to Kingfishers is included in the price of your fishing package. When Kingfisher guests arrive in Dillingham, they will be met by the B&B or Hotel representatives where reservations were made for the evening and escorted to their locations.

On the morning of your flight to camp, you will be met by TikChik Airventures which is the air taxi service we utilize to transport guests to and from our camp. At that time you and your luggage are shuttled to Lake Aleknagik. There you will meet your pilot and board a DeHavilland Beaver or Cessna 206. A short twenty-minute flight will get you to Alaska Kingfishers on the Nushagak River. Below are some flight times and carriers for this route.

We require guests to arrive in Dillingham, AK the afternoon or evening before their trip starts and to not make their connecting flights home on your departure date before noon in the event of any weather delays.

Once at the camp, we can get to the business at hand, catching fish!
